DC Superhero Action Figure (Series 2): Batman

The kids were a little disappointed in this one after having been so pleased with the three we got from Series 1. I think mainly it's that the figure is permanently hunched over--excellent for lurking on rooftops, not so good for doing anything else. (The Marvel Legends Wonder Man has the same problem.)

Another functional issue is that the legs only go straight back and forth, you can't move them off to one side, likely because of the great big tool belt in the way there, but Superman can do it and it seems even more important that a character who's known for his athleticism (like Batman) should be flexible. No side-kicks from this Batman. He also lacks the mid-thigh "turn" joint that Superman has.

Overall all right for playability, but not as good as anything from the first series.

Finally, the features are far more "cartoony" than, for example, Superman's, although this may have to do with the cowl.

We had been looking forward to the next series--I hope they are closer to Series 1 than to what I've seen of Series 2.
